What's New for 2023?
While you can expect to enjoy much of what you loved about the previous Atlas Cross Sport, the new model introduces some small adjustments. You'll enjoy an upgraded technology package on the base-level SE trim, introducing the 10.3-inch VW Digital Cockpit gauge display.
Performance
The Atlas Cross Sport SE, now the base trim model, is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 235 horsepower. Also available is a 3.6-liter V6 engine option that makes 276 horsepower. All SE models come with front-wheel drive and may be upgraded to an optional all-wheel drive. All the SEL trims are available with all-wheel drive regardless of the engine. Both these engine options come mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. It would be best to utilize premium gasoline on the turbocharged engine, while the V6 may use regular gasoline. The 2023 Atlas Cross Sport has a towing capacity of 2000 pounds with the four-cylinder engine and 5000 pounds with the V6 engine.
Safety
The 2023 Atlas Cross Sport is fitted with the latest driving assistance and safety features to safeguard and give its occupants confidence on the road. You will likely experience the following:
- An intelligent crash response system opens the doors, puts on hazard lights, and disconnects the fuel pump upon impact.
- Automatic post-collision braking
- Tire pressure monitoring
- Stability enhancing
- Rearview camera
- Adaptive front headlights
- Blindspot monitoring
Technology
The 6.5-inch infotainment touchscreen display on the Atlas Cross Sport is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and upgrades to an eight-inch display on higher trim levels. The Cross Sport also comes with an eight or 10.25-inch digital cluster, which you can easily reconfigure. Other optional features include satellite radio, navigation, heated front seats, and a ten-way power-adjustable driver's seat.
